Underperforming Ads

• What are underperforming ads?

  Underperforming Ads are shown to be ineffective in comparison to other ads within your Ad Group (or your campaign). These ads may be generating a large number of impressions but no clicks – negatively impacting your Google campaign's Quality Score or your Yahoo! campaign's Quality Index. These ads may also be generating clicks, but no sales.

• What should I do about underperforming ads?

  If your ads are underperforming, we recommend that you spot-check the following items which may be resulting in your Ad Group's poor performance:

  • Double-check to make sure all keywords in the Ad Group are relevant.
  • Conversely, make sure that all ads are relevant to the keywords you've selected.
