WebVisible to Hire 50 Salespeople for Irvine Headquarters - Invites Qualified Applicants to Open House-Style Job Fair in April
IRVINE, Calif. (March 31, 2010) – As Orange County hits double digit unemployment rates for the first time in 20 years, Irvine-based WebVisible (www.webvisible.com) today announced it is hiring 50 people for sales positions that can pay up to $100,000, including salary and commissions.
In a deliberate departure from the often-anonymous cattle-call style of most job fairs, WebVisible will invite those who make it past the first screening to an Open House event at the company’s headquarters on Tuesday, April 13 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. WebVisible management will give tours, show videos and talk with applicants, throwing open the company’s doors to offer a glimpse into the corporate culture.
Interested parties should email a résumé, cover letter and salary history to Openhouse@webvisible.com. Qualified applicants will be contacted for a preliminary phone interview, and from there selected applicants will be invited to the April 13th Open House for an on-site interview.
WebVisible, which helps small businesses advertise online, has been consistently growing throughout the recession – doubling its employee base last year, with plans to do the same again this year. This, even while Orange County's unemployment rate was 10.1 percent in January, hitting double-digits for the first time in 20 years, according to the Orange County Register. Orange County lost 72,100 jobs in the last year, placing it fourth-highest among the country's largest 32 metro areas, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.
“We continue to grow and expand our operations and sales channels, so there is a tremendous amount of opportunity for success and advancement here,” said Veena Chillar, WebVisible VP of Human Resources. “We know there are a lot of highly qualified people out there looking for work, and we know that the search itself can be the toughest job around. It’s extremely important to us that the match is right, which is why we like to give applicants the chance to get to know us in the process. We take pride in providing a work environment that lets people shine.”
For its current openings, the company is looking for applicants who meet the following criteria:
- Winning personality who loves to sell, compete and win.
- Solid understanding and interest in selling to businesses.
- Comfortable with making outbound telephone calls to generate and close sales.
- Passionate communicator regarding the Internet and search engine marketing/advertising.
“We look for people with a genuine passion for what they’re selling and an ability to really understand the needs of those they’re selling to,” said Bill Lupo, WebVisible VP of Sales. “Our company is built around the belief that it’s our job to serve as small business advocates. Our solutions don’t just help companies advertise online, they help companies succeed and thrive.”
Continuing a streak of robust growth that defies nearly every economic trend, WebVisible recently secured $20 million Series C financing following a year of vigorous growth for the company. Throughout 2009, WebVisible more than doubled the amount of revenues and increased bookings 88 percent year-over-year.
